Obducat is the world-leading supplier of lithography solutions for manufacturing and replication of advanced micro- and nano- scale structures.
Obducat works at the cutting-edge of technology and processes that are used for the production of micro and nano components enabling next generation products within various areas. Obducat is unique as the only provider of this complete range of systems, processes and equipment within one company. The products can be divided into equipment, stampers, process optimisation, complete solutions and licensing of patented processes for industrial mass production and process development as well as research purposes.
Obducat technologies can be used for production components of opto electronics, optical memory media, magnetic memory media and displays. Obducat technologies enable the development and cost efficient manufacturing of next generation consumer products such as cameras, handheld computers, hard discs for mobile phones, LCD and fl at-panel TVs and new generation optical media format Blu-ray.
Obducat is a global leader within Nano Imprint Lithography (NIL) technology offering comprehensive solutions for industrial manufacturers and suppliers using NIL technology for mass production of for example consumer electronics. Obducat is the current market leader and number one seller of NIL equipment. The NIL machine replicates very small micro or nanostructures on a substrate that can be processed further to form part or make up the component in a product.
The original pattern (stamper) is produced by the e-beam based lithography system EBR, Electron Beam Recorder. So far the system has been adapted and configured for optical and magnetic memory media and is being used in the production of current and next generation requirements for memory storage. Obducat’s UK company, Obducat CamScan produces and sells Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), advanced microscopes with a magnification range up to up to one million.
Obducat’s stamp production line produces stampers that are expendable items. Every NIL machine needs one stamper, possibly more in the future. When the customer has bought the equipment from Obducat the system has to be optimised, installed, and tested before full-scale production can begin.
